TrakSYS Solution Supports Fiat Powertrain's Advanced Manufacturing and

ANAHEIM, California – May 13, 2011 - Fiat Powertrain has selected Parsec Automation Corp. to provide manufacturing operations solutions for its automobile engine plant assembly and machining operations in Brazil.

This is the second Fiat Powertrain plant in Brazil that has elected to leverage Parsec's TrakSYS™ real-time manufacturing operations and performance management software in support of the company's World-Class Manufacturing (WCM) business initiatives. The deployment of Parsec technology aligns with Fiat's strategic focus on 11 key strategic business objectives, including safety, cost deployment, focused improvement, autonomous maintenance, job organization, professional maintenance, quality control, logistics client services, early equipment management, people development, and the environment.

One of the numerous and innovative productivity improvement solutions that Parsec has delivered globally was to help a canned food manufacturer determine the best strategy for revamping its production lines. That project earned Parsec third place in the Most Innovative Process category.
