Founded in 1970, fermacell produces and distributes high-quality gypsum fiber and cement-bonded boards for interior construction. With state-of-the-art production facilities across Europe, the company supports both new construction and renovation projects in a competitive building materials market.

As operations expanded, fermacell identified the need for greater production insight to support its pursuit of operational excellence. Limited real-time data, lack of material traceability, and difficulty identifying bottlenecks made it harder to consistently optimize performance and resource usage.

To address these challenges, fermacell partnered with Actemium to implement TrakSYS as a real-time MES platform. The collaboration focused on improving visibility, strengthening quality control, and enabling more informed decision-making on the shop floor.
