As Simple As Possible

At Parsec, we understand that complexity is inherent to manufacturing.
TrakSYS: Purpose-Built from the Start
The 90’s
In 1993, the idea for TrakSYS—a solution designed to capture data from factory floor systems, sensors, controllers, drives, and more and transform it into actionable KPIs—was born. By 1994, the inaugural deployment took place at a global food manufacturer, resulting in a resounding success. Four years later, Parsec pioneered a browser-based interface—an industry first—eliminating the need for thick-client installations.
The 00’s
Over the next five years, two new, comprehensive versions of TrakSYS were released, incorporating shift management, task management, messaging and notifications, and a time-series historian for deeper analytics. TrakSYS expanded beyond the U.S., establishing a presence in Western Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa. Solution delivery evolved from site-by-site deployment to enterprise-wide, global, multi-site contracts.
During the second half of the decade, Parsec released TrakSYS 5-7. Built on the .NET framework, these platforms introduced a wealth of new features, including digital audit trails for the pharmaceutical industry, recipe and batch management, SPC, and quality management.
The 10’s
TrakSYS is now a fully browser-based platform featuring a completely reimagined UI/UX. Shortly after, the team launched Single Instance Multi-Site (SIMS)—a first-of-its-kind architecture that enabled manufacturers to deploy multiple sites within a single TrakSYS instance using private cloud infrastructure. SIMS paved the way for global standardization, stronger governance, and streamlined lifecycle management, all while reducing total cost of ownership.
The 20’s
TrakSYS introduced Low-Code/No-Code capabilities, enabling manufacturers to rapidly create customized solutions while reducing deployment complexity and risk. With the addition of Visual Workflow Management, users gained the ability to orchestrate even the most complex manufacturing processes through intuitive drag-and-drop interfaces.
TrakSYS then expanded its ecosystem with a machine-learning–powered production scheduling system (APS), followed by the release of a major platform version built on a cloud-native, containerized architecture with expanded cloud capabilities.
Building on this evolution, the newest generation of TrakSYS will debut the AI-rich TrakSYS Cloud Command Center—a powerful hub designed to unify data from disparate systems, provide a centralized operational cockpit, and streamline enterprise-wide administration of TrakSYS across multiple sites.
Parsec Founder and CEO Eddy Azad tells the story of our company’s origins and how, from the very beginning, TrakSYS was purpose-built to tackle the manufacturing industry’s most pressing challenges.
Now in use at thousands of factories worldwide, Eddy Azad walks us through how TrakSYS has evolved and adapted to today’s fast-paced, increasingly connected manufacturing landscape.
With ever an eye toward the future, Eddy Azad explores how TrakSYS is poised to lead the way in shaping the future of manufacturing excellence.
