Microsoft Brings Generative AI to Manufacturing With Partnership; Hannover Messe 2025

Parsec will integrate Microsoft’s Azure AI Foundry into its operations management platform to enhance AI capabilities

Microsoft and industrial automation company Parsec have announced a new partnership aimed at integrating generative AI (genAI) into manufacturing operations.

Under the collaboration, Microsoft’s Azure AI Foundry will be integrated with Parsec’s flagship Manufacturing Execution System.

Dubbed TrakSYS IQ, this new AI-powered tool is designed to help manufacturers analyze factory data through a conversational user interface. The technology promises to improve productivity and enhance data-driven decision-making across industrial operations.

The first public preview of the new system is on display at Microsoft’s booth at Hannover Messe, taking place this week in Germany.

“TrakSYS IQ will bring manufacturing leaders closer to the data that drives their organizations,” said Bill Rokos, Parsec’s CTO. “Customers will be able to interact with TrakSYS using natural language and receive contextualized insights.”

“While this functionality is still evolving, it reflects our ongoing commitment to simplifying complex manufacturing operations and unlocking the full potential of data through AI,” he added.

TrakSYS IQ will simplify data access and reporting, allowing manufacturers to extract specific insights from complex datasets quickly. By integrating TrakSYS with Microsoft’s platform, the companies said they hope to demonstrate the potential of emerging AI tech to “support more intuitive and efficient factory operations.”

In addition to providing text-based responses to user queries, TrakSYS IQ can also create charts and graphs of data for easy analysis.

The new system is expected to be available later this year.

“The TrakSYS IQ integration will make a big difference in the day-to-day lives of manufacturers,” said Dayan Rodriguez, Microsoft’s corporate vice president of manufacturing and mobility. “Together with Parsec, we are working to help customers transform their businesses, and we’re delivering impactful, human-centered solutions to the market every day.”
