To deliver superior value to customers through continuous improvement, Dana ENCO needed to ensure the quality of each manufactured part with complete traceability through accurate data collection and analysis at every step of production.

Before TrakSYS, Dana ENCO had no existing system for capturing batch data and minimal insight into equipment run-time and performance. Production bottlenecks and variances were undetermined, and the team lacked real-time production data to make informed decisions.

Dana ENCO worked with Parsec Partner System Intelligence for Business (SIB) to build a TrakSYS rollout that enabled comprehensive traceability. TrakSYS gave Dana ENCO real-time insight into production and gave customers a way to track their orders' statuses, while user-created dashboards let operators review TrakSYS-generated reports for process workflow and product history.

The solution enabled lot and batch tracking, captured heat treatment data, and monitored the condition of existing CNC machines, while statistical process control (SPC) helped the team better measure quality and reduce process variability.

With TrakSYS in place, Dana ENCO created a comprehensive audit trail and established complete traceability for every product, automating quality checks and addressing and resolving customer concerns in minutes.
