The Company
EOSYS provides turnkey integration services for manufacturing facilities across North America. Since its inception, EOSYS has also offered panel fabrication and installation services, with a UL-listed, full-service panel manufacturing division that constructs control panels for any industrial or commercial application and provides design assistance.
The Challenge
As a full-service, UL-listed panel manufacturer, EOSYS understands how crucial accurate, real-time production data is. As an integrator and Parsec Automation, LLC certified partner, EOSYS had been instrumental in providing other manufacturers with real-time data through their deliveries of TrakSYS, but its own discrete operations still relied on heavy administrative workloads, had no real-time insight into production progress, and used paper-based records that made it challenging to remedy customer complaints.
The Solution
When it became clear that EOSYS needed to optimize its own discrete operations, the team decided it was time to implement its own TrakSYS solution. Working alongside Parsec to establish the project's goals, the two teams created a roadmap for what became the EOSYS-Parsec Center of Excellence for Discrete Manufacturing, designed to reduce customer complaints, reduce labor costs through enhanced operator engagement, reduce administrative workloads, and generate real-time KPIs.
All of EOSYS's panels go through extensive quality tests and adhere to strict order management procedures, including creating and printing setup sheets and labels, aggregating quality documents, and grouping for assembly efficiency. To facilitate complete traceability, each step of the panel creation process is tracked, and detailed records are created when an order is received documenting the panel creation process, inspections, and UL serialization required by the customer.
TrakSYS is now the system of record for quality data, enabling audit-ready traceability and helping rapidly resolve customer compliance reports. The platform is connected to multiple systems, including EOSYS's project management application, Microsoft Dynamics, and its payroll system. To facilitate operator engagement and keep teams accountable to production goals, TrakSYS dashboards show real-time production progress, giving the EOSYS leadership team data that aids in root-cause problem-solving.
TrakSYS has given us the tools we need to satisfy our customers who ask for verification of an in-house quality control system. With TrakSYS, we have implemented new quality control check procedures and have the proper documentation to verify that quality control checks are being performed and accountability measures are in place.
