The Company
Hydranautics, part of the Nitto Group, is a global leader in Integrated Membrane Solutions. Based out of Oceanside, California, Hydranautics offers complete membrane solutions, including reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration, and microfiltration, for water, wastewater, and process treatment applications.
The Challenge
Hydranautics needed a platform that enabled complete traceability to meet regulatory requirements, address customer concerns, and comply with audits. The company relied on an isolated ERP system (JD Edwards) and an isolated, manual barcode system, with no real-time method for analyzing available data.
Operators also spent excessive time reading and categorizing barcodes by hand, slowing down operations across the facility.
The Solution
Polytron worked with Hydranautics to roll out a TrakSYS solution that interfaced with the company's ERP and RFID system, allowing for the traceability and filtering of data and providing dashboards, data entry forms, and reports.
The RFID rollout was designed to read multiple labels at the same time, create labels that store customer-specific information for IoT compatibility, and eliminate the potential for labels to become damaged or corrupt.
