Parsecs survey highlights the balance manufacturers must strike between risk and reward as they strive for resilience and operational efficiency.
Survey Highlights
- Nearly 69% of European manufacturers describe supply chain issues as very or extremely challenging. Key concerns include economic downturns (38%) and lack of visibility (38%).
- Manufacturers are prioritizing resilience by diversifying suppliers (48%), adopting new technologies (44%), and bolstering inventory levels (43%).
- A lack of skilled talent is a barrier to AI adoption for 34% of respondents, yet 99% anticipate AI integration within four years.
- Reshoring initiatives are hindered by facility constraints (47%) and labor cost adjustments (40%), though manufacturers pursuing reshoring see opportunities for improved quality control (40%) and regulatory compliance (45%).
